Chen Ping,?vice governor?of Hubei Province,?met with?Felipe Camarao,?deputy governor of Maranhao?State?in?Brazil?on October 12,?in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.

After expressing?warm?welcome to Felipe Camarao?and his?delegation, Chen?gave a brief introduction of Hubei’s economic and social development.

She said that?Hubei?and Brazil?have formed four?pairs of sister provinces, states and sister cities.?In 2022,?Hubei’s?foreign?trade with?Brazil amounted to 28.312 billion yuan.?It is hoped that the two sides could?further advance?all-round?strategic?cooperation.

Chen?added that Hubei and Maranhao?are highly complementary?in terms of resource endowment, economic structure and?development stage. We hope to take this visit as an opportunity to promote all-round cooperation between the two places, in an effort to bolster investment and trade, agricultural technology cooperation and cultural exchanges.
